Darren's practice is exclusively civil and includes contract/ commercial litigation, land and boundary disputes, chancery matters (including insolvency) and employment law. Darren is fully literate with ICT and experienced in mediation and arbitration.
Darren's work includes cases for Defendant insurers (including RTA Fraud EL, OL and disease work), but also extends to Claimant personal injury work. Darren’s core practice covers a diversity of civil matters such as: a wide variety of commercial and contractual disputes; resisting injunctions and restrictive covenants for recruitment industry clients; professional negligence claims including: solicitors negligence, accountants negligence, architects and surveyors negligence claims; injunction claims and associated committal proceedings; claims relating to the administration of trusts, dissolution of and other disputes involving partnerships and actions on guarantees/indemnities; land claims, housing boundary and neighbour disputes; unfair dismissal and discrimination cases, professional disciplinary hearings, health and safety prosecutions and defences/mitigation; disputes involving trusts, the sale of companies and shares and property, insolvency matters, fraud claims and export trade claims involving letters of credit and contractual claims in respect of faulty goods and services.
Darren works within the commercial team, personal injury team (including specialist fraud team), and employment team in Chambers in developing Chambers' newsletters, bulletins and in the delivery of lectures and seminars to solicitors and insurance clients.
Darren also deals with non-contentious matters including drafting insurance and commercial contracts and heads of agreement and business plans for well known corporate clients.
Darren is approachable and does not stand on formalities being prepared to assist by telephone and with flexible conferencing and site visit arrangements to suit client and instructing solicitors alike.
