Since 2005, Fiona has been a part-time lecturer at BPP College of Professional Studies on the BVC. She regularly lectures on the Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Family modules.

Fiona is developing an expanding practice in Civil Insurance Fraud, mainly in relation to road traffic accidents. She regularly undertakes work on behalf of Defendant Insurers in relation to fraudulent or suspicious insurance claims, in particular cases involving bogus passengers, fabricated, staged and induced accidents, low velocity impacts, and exaggerated personal injury and damage.

She has experience in advising at pre-proceedings stage and conducting conferences with clients and witnesses to test the credibility of their evidence.

She also has experience in drafting detailed Defences, complex Part 18 Requests and Replies.

In relation to Court work, Fiona regularly deals with preliminary and interlocutory hearings, such as Allocation Hearings; applications to join Insurers as Defendants; applications to Set Aside Default Judgment; applications for expert evidence and Case Management Conferences.

Fiona is fully aware of the developments and changes in this area of practice and has lectured and presented seminars in a variety of areas law relating to Civil Insurance Fraud.
