Since 2005, Fiona has been a part-time lecturer at BPP College of Professional Studies on the BVC. She regularly lectures on the Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Family modules.

Having recently returned from maternity leave, Fiona increasingly specialises in family law, in both the private and public spheres.

Fiona's experience ranges across the Family Proceedings Court, the County Court and the High Court. Clients include Local Authorities, parents and relatives, interveners and children via Guardians (public law and private law).

In the private sphere she is experienced in dealing with intractable contact disputes and residence cases arising from the same. She has extensive experience of conducting finding of fact hearings in the private law context involving very serious allegations, including sexual abuse. She also has experience of cases concerning inter-jurisdictional matters and removal from the jurisdiction.

In the public sphere Fiona regularly undertakes work dealing with matters involving complex issues such as non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse and chronic neglect.

Fiona has a realistic, yet compassionate approach to her work. She is tenacious in striving for the best possible outcome for her client, recognising the difficulties inherent in cases involving a child's welfare and needs.

Fiona is a member of the Family Law Bar Association.
