Stephen has a general common law practice, with a specialisation in regulatory and financial offences, both for the prosecution and the defence. He has a prosecuted on behalf of HM Revenue and Customs, the Department of Work and Pensions (including prosecutions brought on behalf of the National Health Service), West Yorkshire Fire and Safety Authority, British Transport Police, the Probation Service and the Child Support Agency. He has also advised upon and defended cases brought by specialist prosecution agencies including, in addition to those already mentioned, the Health and Safety Executive.
