Laura’s background in general criminal and civil law has led to a successful practice developing in areas of regulatory crime.
Laura has gained significant experience in both prosecuting and defending in local authority prosecutions dealing with Environmental Protection Act matters, fishing law as well as Anti Social Behaviour Orders.
In addition Laura has regularly appeared on behalf of specialist prosecuting agencies including the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs, the Department of Health, the Environment Agency and the Child Support Agency.
Such cases have involved high value frauds against the Revenue and the Benefits Agency as well as prosecuting environmental protection cases which have involved large scale clean-up costs.
