In the early years of his practice David specialised in crime, family, personal injury, health and safety cases, employment, and other tribunal work, and latterly has specialised in serious crime, both prosecuting and defending in high profile cases of murder (both as Junior and Leading Junior), manslaughter and GBH, rape and other serious sexual assaults including historic sexual abuse, Class A and B drug conspiracy, and high value fraud and deception.
David has been a Grade 4 Crown Prosecutor for in excess of 10 years.
David was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1998 and as a Recorder in 2000, and sits regularly in the Crown and County Courts on the North Eastern Circuit.
