Mark Mckone is Criminal Practitioner of 20 years with a significant experience in advising and representing prisoners at Parole Board and Adjudication Hearings.

He has significant practice in advising prisoners on the prospects of appeal against conviction and/or sentence in the cases where he has not been the trial Advocate. He can advise on funding, including the obtaining of relevant transcripts and he acts free of charge in an appropriate case.

In particular, he has sucessfully persuaded the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) to reduce the minimum term in a very large number of life imprisionment cases: experience has shown that the minimum terms are often miscalculated.
