Peter’s practice is in civil litigation.  He specialises in all areas of personal injury work and in the last 6 years has developed a strong practice defending fraudulent or suspicious insurance claims.  Peter is regularly instructed at the pre-litigation stage.  He is routinely briefed by the insurance fraud departments of many of the major solicitors across the country and is acknowledged as a leading barrister in this field.  Peter regularly lectures on all aspects of fraudulent or suspicious insurance claims. 

Peter’s pleadings have received high praise. Giving judgment in the case of Farrar v Qurban (1) Direct Line Insurance (2) HHJ Halbert, sitting in the Chester County Court, described the Defence drafted by Peter on behalf of the Second Defendant as, ‘a masterpiece’.

Peter also undertakes Claimant work having, in particular, represented union firms for many years.

Peter is a member of PIBA and has previously been published in the ‘New Law Journal’ on stress at work claims.
