Judy Dawson specialises in acting on behalf of the insurance industry in cases where fraud is suspected, from organised criminal enterprises staging multiple accidents to individuals exaggerating the extent of their loss.  

Having practiced in criminal law for 12 years, earning a reputation as a formidable advocate, she combines her courtroom abilities, in particular exceptional cross-examination skills, with her strong forensic skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure her insurer client is placed in the best possible position to defend these difficult cases

She has extensive experience in the tactics of running the Insurer’s case, from pre-action evidence gathering through to drafting the detailed Defence and preparing and presenting the case at trial.

She is at the forefront of the development of this area of law, and solicitors and insurer clients benefit from her wealth of knowledge of the latest developments and strategies.

She also advises on behalf of insurers in relation to insurance indemnity issues and has a detailed knowledge of litigation involving uninsured drivers.
