Roger has specialised in landlord and tenant law from the outset of his career at the Bar. He brings a commercial approach to the resolution of disputes (e.g. through participation in mediation or in the analysis of commercial damages) and will act with vigour when trial is appropriate. He represents both landlords and tenants in the following arenas:
Business tenancies: Creation and interpretation of leases, Termination of leases, Injunctions, Forfeiture / covenants, Renewal of Leases, Rent reviews, Service charges, Possession of licensed premises, Participation in mediation of disputes, Trespassers
Residential tenancies Social and private sector, Notices, Dilapidations, Injunctions, e.g. ASBO, Recovery of unpaid rent, Damages, Demoted tenancies, Homelessness, Occupant’s Personal injury, Trespassers.
