Profile:

Sally has been practising in the arena of family law since she started in chambers in 1999, having been supervised throughout the second six months of her pupillage by Jane Pye.

She undertakes all aspects of family work, but deals particularly with serious Care cases involving infant deaths and extreme allegations of sexual and/or physical abuse; having acted both for the Local Authority and for parents. She has carried out a number of cases in the High Court in London, and also has experience of the Court of Appeal.

She has dealt with a large number of Hague Convention and Removal from the Jurisdiction cases and is well versed in the grounds required to allow parents to take their children out of the jurisdiction.

She deals with serious and complicated Private Law matters, including those containing protracted and complicated allegations of Domestic Violence and Implacable hostility.

She has particular expertise when it comes to dealing with clients with extreme Learning Difficulties, Psychological/Personality Disorders, and or child/youth clients because of her background in Psychology, Counselling and Child therapy.

Additionally, she has dealt with a number of cases involving same sex relationships, and is particularly well versed in the case law pertaining to the difficulties faced, both in the area of child care and finances, faced by same sex couples.

She has been involved in a number of high value Ancillary Relief cases involving assets in other jurisdictions, and also conducts “TOLATA” cases on a regular basis.
