Before being called to the Bar, Johanna worked at the Institute for Public Policy Research and at White Ryland Solicitors where she practised family law as well as immigration and asylum law. After a mixed pupillage of crime and family work, Johanna began her practice in those fields and also in immigration and asylum work.
Drawing on her nine years’ experience of asylum and immigration work, Johanna has particular expertise of cases involving an immigration element and with clients from minority communities.
Johanna managed her own appeal caseload at White Ryland Solicitors. Since being called to the Bar, Johanna has regularly represented appellants at all levels: in the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal; the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal.
