Diana began her career with a general pupillage under Stephen Bedeau and Steven Garth and after a few years decided to specialise in general crime. She now specialises in regulatory crime involving government departments. She has extensive experience in regulatory crime, having first been appointed to the Attorney General’s Panel List C in 2002.
Diana was appointed to List B of the Attorney General’s Panel of prosecuting advocates in 2005. She has prosecuted for the Department of Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs, the Food Standards Agency, the Environment Agency and the Child Support Agency and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
Diana’s recent cases include numerous successful prosecutions involving fraudulent claims for benefit for the DWP and HMRC, some involving overpayments of many tens of thousands of pounds. Diana has also been involved in Environment Agency prosecutions, including a number for Category One pollution incidents with serious environmental consequences, where large financial penalties have been imposed upon the Defendant companies.
