Julie-Ann joined chambers in December 2007 having practised in Northern Ireland for a number of years and has specialised in the area of family law since completing pupillage.
Julie-Ann has extensive experience in all aspects of the law of children in both the public and private law spheres and since joining chambers has continued to build on this experience. In the area of public law, she regularly undertakes work on behalf of parents and the Local Authority. Julie-Ann has dealt with matters involving complex issues such as non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse, chronic neglect, intractable contact disputes, inter-jurisdictional issues and removal from the jurisdiction.
Julie-Ann has experience of working at all levels, from the Family Proceedings Court to the High Court where she has appeared both with, and without leading counsel. Whilst practising in Northern Ireland, Julie-Ann was involved in two reported matters, C-v-C [2005] NIFam 3 and NR-v-AF [2008] NIFam 3.
