Patrizia’s background in the Crown Prosecution Service allowed her to deal with the whole spectrum of crimes from murder to road traffic offences. In particular her area of interest was financial offences where she was able to conduct fraud cases from cradle to grave. She was also responsible as a Senior Crown Prosecutor in advising the police as to the correct charges and obtaining the relevant evidence.
At the Bar Patrizia has had the opportunity of prosecuting and defending cases involving regulatory law. She has been involved in cases brought by specialist prosecuting authorities including the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs, the Department for Trade & Industry, Local Authorities, Child Support Agency and the Royal Mail.
Patrizia has defended successfully a fatality brought by a Local Authority under Health and Safety Regulation which involved an element of strict liability.
Patrizia also undertakes many cases involving confiscation.
