Congratulations to Mark McKone, who has been included in the Chambers and Partners 2012 directory for the first time this year; Mark has a "confident style that goes down well with juries." He recently prosecuted R v Stacey, a case concerning allegations of underage sex.
He joins Patrick Palmer and David Dixon, who also practice in criminal law; they have been recommended for the last five years.
Patrick Palmer is a grade 4 CPS prosecutor. His varied caseload includes sexual offences and murders, and he recently prosecuted the bodily harm and rape case of R v Savage.
David Dixon “is an established choice for fraud, crime and employment work”. He is a grade 4 prosecutor for the CPS, but recently acted for the defence in the shoplifting case of R v Hoang and Others.
Andrew Lewis QC, head of our civil team, has once again been recognised, as he has been consistently in recent years, and “is respected by his opponents”. Andrew’s practice is split between personal injury and clinical negligence.
Sally Bradley QC, a member of our family team, who recently moved from York Chambers, is also listed again. Her focus is on child care, adoption and abduction cases. Observers point out that she is a "strong cross-examiner and a real fighter in court."
